Great Wave Ukiyo-e Shirt

A short sleeve camp collar shirt with rolling waves printed edge to edge, deep blue crests breaking into white foam across the entire front and back. Cotton poplin fabric, open camp collar, and a single chest pocket keep it light for everyday summer wear.

The design echoes The Great Wave off Kanagawa, the most famous work of the ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai, part of his series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. Painted in the early 1800s, the towering wave curling over tiny boats became one of the most recognized images in Japanese art, a study in raw power and quiet stillness at once.
