A short sleeve camp collar shirt with a koi fish rising across the back, rendered in flowing sumi-e ink with water splashing off its tail. Cotton poplin fabric, open camp collar, and a single chest pocket keep it light for everyday wear.
In Japanese folklore, the koi (鯉) that swims upstream against the current is said to transform into a dragon upon reaching the source, a legend that made it a symbol of perseverance and strength. Painted mid-leap, this koi carries that same forward pull, still swimming, not yet transformed.
