Design Inspiration
The emblem represents the Date clan (伊達), a powerful samurai family that ruled the Sendai domain during Japan’s feudal era. The name is closely tied to Date Masamune, the legendary warlord known as the “One-Eyed Dragon,” famous for his strategic brilliance and distinctive crescent-moon helmet. Clan crests like this kamon symbolized identity, loyalty, and honor, carried by warriors on their armor and banners across the battlefields of Japan.
