Design Inspiration
This design is based on the Hishi crest, a diamond-shaped symbol that appeared in several samurai family emblems. The word hishi literally refers to the water chestnut plant, whose seeds naturally form this sharp diamond shape. Over time the pattern became a powerful geometric symbol in Japanese heraldry, often associated with strength, resilience, and noble lineage. Many samurai clans adopted variations of the hishi pattern on banners, armor, and battlefield flags, turning a simple natural shape into a mark of identity and pride.
